Hayrabolu, Tekirdağ – Lecturer Özkan Yazar from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) took part as an invited jury member in the gastronomy competition held in Hayrabolu within the scope of the 33rd Sunflower Festival.

In the competition, 14 neighborhoods from the district participated with their local dishes. The jury, consisting of 30 members, included executive chefs and distinguished academics. Lecturer Özkan Yazar contributed to the evaluation process as part of this jury panel.

At the end of the event, Hayrabolu Mayor Tuncer Başoğlu presented Lecturer Özkan Yazar with a certificate of appreciation and a plaque for his participation and support.

The organization was noted as a significant step not only in showcasing Hayrabolu’s gastronomic potential and promoting local flavors but also in strengthening cooperation between academia and local authorities.
