Assistant Professor Senem Ergan's Career Talks event, held as part of the "Career Planning" course, featured digital content creator and Chef Oben Alkan as its guest this week. On April 24, 2024, Chef Oben Alkan engaged online with students from the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department at Gökçeada Vocational School of Applied Sciences, beginning the session with insights into his career and personal journey. He discussed the challenges he encountered while climbing the career ladder and the obstacles he faced in the industry, highlighting how his approach to addressing these challenges shaped pivotal moments in his career.

Chef Oben Alkan advised students that they won't find career satisfaction in places where they don't feel they belong and encouraged them not to fear change. After valuable insights and advice, the event concluded with a Q&A session where students had the opportunity to ask questions.
