Career Days / Internal Stakeholder
Students of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences attended the 14th Career Days event organized by the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Tourism at the Çanakkale Kolin Hotel on 12 February 2026.
Fourteen students from our department took part in the event, which brought together leading representatives of the tourism and gastronomy industry with students. The students were accompanied by Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Hande Kandur Arslan, Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Lect. Özkan Yazar, and departmental academics.
As part of Career Days, the students had the opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with representatives of businesses operating in the tourism, hospitality, and food and beverage sectors. Presenting their resumes to companies and receiving direct information about job and internship opportunities, the students gained valuable insight into the industry's expectations and current dynamics.
Throughout the event, industry professionals shared insights on career planning, making a difference in the business world, and professional development. Thanks to this organization, which brought their theoretical education together with the industry, our students had the chance to plan their post-graduation career goals more consciously.
