Orientation
As part of the 2025-2026 academic year orientation program at Gökçeada Applied Sciences School (GUBY), a field trip to Gökçeada was organized on September 24, 2025, for newly enrolled students.
The trip was accompanied by Deputy Director and Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Lecturer Özkan Yazar; Lecturer and Research Assistant Necati Karakaş; and Acting Secretary Medet Yıldırım.
During the excursion, students visited prominent locations on the island, including Zeytinliköy, Tepeköy, and the famous Çınaraltı area. Lecturer Özkan Yazar provided information about the historical, cultural, and natural heritage of Gökçeada, while students’ questions about both university and island life were answered.
Through this activity, students had the opportunity to become familiar with their new surroundings and strengthen their adaptation process by spending quality time together.
