Workshop
The Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences (GUBY) Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts hosted a “Pasta Workshop with Little Chefs” event as part of its social responsibility activities.
In the event, children aged 5 from Burhanettin Kurt Anaokulu, along with the acting principal Kamil Şayan and their teachers, were welcomed at the college by the faculty members and students. The young guests had a pleasant time by participating in stages such as pasta dough preparation, cutting and shaping in the practice kitchen.
The students from the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts directly engaged with the children and created an environment that was both educational and fun. While the children took home some of the pasta they made as a memento, some wandered around the classrooms, sat at the university desks and asked questions they were curious about.
This colourful event became a meaningful experience for both the preschool students and the university students in terms of sharing, learning and social awareness. The workshop, which was full of joyful moments throughout the day, created a warm and friendly atmosphere at the college.
