TURAK Accreditation Certificate Presented to the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts of Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences

Accreditation

The plaque presentation ceremony for the accreditation certificate earned by our school's Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts within the scope of the TURAK accreditation process was held at the Rectorate on 13 May 2026.

In addition to ÇOMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, the ceremony was attended by TURAK Deputy Chair Prof. Dr. Orhan İçöz, TURAK Çanakkale Representative Prof. Dr. Oğuz Diker, Prof. Dr. Murat Aksu, Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Hande Kandur Arslan, and Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Lect. Özkan Yazar.

As part of the program, the accreditation certificate belonging to the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts of Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences was presented to ÇOMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu by TURAK Deputy Chair Prof. Dr. Orhan İçöz.

During the meeting, the importance of accreditation processes in terms of quality assurance in higher education was emphasized, and evaluations were made regarding the level the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts has reached in the areas of educational quality, practical infrastructure, and academic development.

It was stated that the accreditation achievement attained in line with ÇOMÜ's quality-oriented approach to education makes a significant contribution to the university's academic development goals.
