Unlu Mamuller Dersi Kapsamında İşletmeci Kemal Kolçak'ın Katılımıyla Baklava Yapımı Atölyesi Düzenlendi

December 12, 2024 – The Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences (GUBY) hosted a special Baklava-Making Workshop, led by Lecturer Özkan Yazar as part of the Bakery Products course. The workshop focused on the art of crafting baklava, one of Turkish cuisine’s most iconic desserts, renowned for its delicate layers of phyllo dough filled with walnuts or pistachios.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Industry Collaboration: Conducted with the support of Gökçeada Simit Evi, which provided materials and expert guidance.

  • Hands-On Training: Participants learned to prepare:
    ✓ Traditional walnut baklava (Burma cevizli baklava)
    ✓ Homemade baklava variations

  • Sweet Finale: Freshly baked baklava was served to students and staff, concluding the event on a delicious note.
