External Stakeholder Visit

Çanakkale, Gökçeada – Mr. Ömer Kalkan, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports of Çanakkale, together with his delegation, visited Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences. During the visit, issues related to the KYK Student Dormitory and the school were discussed in terms of possible areas of collaboration.

The meeting was attended by GUBY Vice Director Lecturer Özkan Yazar, Gökçeada Vocational School Vice Director Lecturer Ayşe Ateş, GUBY Secretary V. Medet Yıldırım, Gökçeada Vocational School Secretary Erol Kaymak, as well as academic staff from both schools.

Held ahead of the 2025–2026 Academic Year, the visit addressed challenges faced by students and explored potential solutions through mutual exchange of ideas. In addition, emphasis was placed on strengthening the school’s cooperation with external stakeholders and enhancing the effectiveness of support for students’ social, academic, and accommodation needs.

The visit is expected to contribute to reinforcing collaboration between the School, the KYK Dormitory, and other external stakeholders, thereby fostering a healthier and more supportive environment for students throughout their educational journey.
