Workshop Event Held as Part of the Seafood Products Course

The Seafood Products course, organized by the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts on September 25, 2024, was enriched this week with a special workshop featuring guest speakers. The course instructor, Lecturer Özge Büyük, facilitated an opportunity for students to interact with alumni and industry experts, fostering valuable knowledge exchange.

This week’s session welcomed two distinguished guests:

  • Lecturer Furkan Burak Ünal, a graduate of our school and currently the Head of the Culinary Arts Program at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Şarköy Vocational School.

  • Lecturer Coşkun Kayabalı, a faculty member of our Tourism Management Program.

The guests shared their expertise on seafood products, offering practical insights and guidance to students. The workshop included hands-on demonstrations on seafood preparation, followed by an interactive Q&A session where students actively participated.

At the conclusion of the event, Lecturer Furkan Burak Ünal was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Lecturer Özkan Yazar, Vice Director of the School and Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, in recognition of his valuable contributions.
