May 24, 2025 – Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences (GUBY) made a remarkable impact at the "Flavor Festival" organized by Gökçeada Municipality in Republic Square, as part of Turkish Cuisine Week. The Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts showcased a dazzling array of signature Turkish dishes, beverages, and desserts, earning widespread acclaim from attendees.
Leadership & Participation:
Led by Lecturer Özkan Yazar (Vice Director & Department Head), with the support of Dr. Hande Kandur Arslan (School Director) and Acting Secretary Medet Yıldırım.
Volunteer students prepared and served authentic and innovative Turkish flavors, highlighting the diversity of the country’s culinary heritage.

Gökçeada Mayor Bülent Ecevit Atalay and municipal council members visited the GUBY stand, tasting student creations and applauding their efforts.
