Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences (GUBY), established by the Council of Ministers' Decision dated July 30, 2008, aims to enhance the quality of education and training in order to produce highly qualified intermediate staff equipped with the knowledge and skills required by international standards of vocational education. The school began its educational activities in the 2010-2011 academic year with undergraduate programs in Fisheries Technology and Gastronomy. Currently, it offers active programs in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, as well as Tourism Management, with only the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts program admitting students.
Aligned with a contemporary educational approach and practical methodologies, our school strives to educate individuals who are creative, original, culturally competent, socially and environmentally conscious, possess analytical thinking skills, and excel in professional competencies. Our mission is to continually enhance the quality of education to meet national and international human resource needs. We actively participate in national and international congresses, symposiums, workshops, and research projects, contributing to our continuous academic development.
Currently, our school employs a total of 9 academic staff members, including 4 faculty members, 4 lecturers, and 1 research assistant.
